F.I.M – Fabrication of antimicrobial edible films from chitosan incorporated with Guava leaf act

F.I.M – Fabrication of antimicrobial edible films from chitosan incorporated with Guava leaf act

Nowadays, there is a tremendous deal of worry about plastic packaging waste. The F.I.M team studied and developed edible food wrap from two waste materials, Chitosan and Guava leaves, in order to reduce the amount of non-biodegradable plastic packaging. The film is not only biodegradable, but it also includes antibacterial and antioxidant properties that help preserve food longer while avoiding the risk of cross-contamination during storage. Furthermore, we also have another product, which is an easy-to-use Capsules for preserving export fruits.

Our groundbreaking innovation transforms ocean wave energy into clean, renewable energy while addressing plastic waste. At the heart of our technology lies the Triboelectric Nanogenerator (TENG), harnessing the frictional energy of materials to produce electricity. Meet the FL-TENG, an eco-friendly spherical device, and its network of interconnected units, ready to empower aquaculture applications and coastal communities with sustainable electricity solutions.

SYNCOT Team – Oil absorbing coco de nata sponge

SYNCOT Team – Oil absorbing coco de nata sponge

Vietnam was in three countries having the highest numbers of oil spills in 10 years. This is the reason why we created SYNCOT- a hydrophobic modified aerogel made from nata de coco which absorbs oil rapidly. It solves the agriculture waste problem, creates new income for Vietnamese farmers, using no toxin in production. Besides, after absorbing we can withdraw the spilled oil without releasing any toxic gases to the environment as the burning method. We can save much time, money and protect the environment where oil spills occur.

CYNOSURE Team – Carbon aerogels filter based on cellulose

CYNOSURE Team – Carbon aerogels filter based on cellulose

SO₂ pollution in the air is increasing, and SO₂ is one of the major causes of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. The team researched and developed a carbon aerogel filter product from cellulose for that reason. This filter has an outstanding feature compared to other filters on the market: it can filter toxic gases and adsorb SO₂. Besides, the adsorption capacity of the filter screen, which is practical, can be placed on the air filter of home appliances such as air purifiers, range hoods, etc., or become the middle layer of the mask, etc.

The Minions Team – Banana-fibre Sanitary Pads: Solution for Women

The Minions Team – Banana-fibre Sanitary Pads: Solution for Women

Banana-fibre Sanitary Pads are biodegradable sanitary pads made from the main ingredients of banana stems and peels. The surface layer is suitable for sensitive skin as silver nanoparticle fabric with outstanding antibacterial and odor-absorbing properties does not contain alcohol, does not irritate, and is combined with infrared waves. It can eliminate bacteria, deodorizing, destroying the DNA structure of bacteria, and eliminating inflammation. The main component of sanitary pads is a super-absorbent polymer hydrogel layer, not mixed with cotton, which can ensure absorbency and avoid moisture. These Pads have a thin, light, comfortable design, promising no discomfort, and are equipped with a leak-proof layer to assure confidence and dryness.
