The highest prize of the university category belonged to AIoT BKR from Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology with the project “Florence”. The team has five members: Trần Vũ Gia Huy, Lê Nguyễn Trọng Đức, Lê Hà Thanh, Nguyễn Thành Thơ, Vương Đình Thiên.

Florence leverages cutting-edge robotics technology, combining the Robot Operating System (ROS) with Lidar sensor to achieve seamless autonomous navigation within healthcare facilities. This system allows Florence to map its environment in real-time, avoiding obstacles and efficiently navigating through corridors, rooms, and common areas.

The integration of facial recognition technology takes this functionality a step further, enabling Florence to identify specific patients accurately. Upon recognition, Florence can instantly access and retrieve relevant healthcare information from secure databases. This feature ensures personalized care delivery and reduces the risk of errors in patient identification. The combination of autonomous navigation and patient recognition not only enhances efficiency but also allows healthcare staff to focus on more complex tasks, knowing that routine patient checks and information retrieval are handled reliably by Florence.
