With the Python and Computational Thinking self-learning toolkit project, COGANH became the winner of the high-school category. Them team includes five students from Nguyen Huu Huan High School: Le Tuan Vu, Nguyen Thanh Tai, Pham Vu Minh Phuong, Dinh Huynh Vinh Quang and Nguyen Quang Huy.

COGANH is all-in-one toolkit, including AI game, books and blog designed to help learners with computational thinking and Python programming based on CỜ GÁNH – a Vietnamese folk chess.

The goal of the project is to create a healthy environment for the studying and training process of computational thinking. Learners will be instructed step-by-step from the basic to the advanced, to the point they can write a program that could play CỜ GÁNH by itself.

  • Unlike any other forms of competitive coding today, COGANH’s learning course is a breath of fresh air:
    Play-based learning.
  • One topic, different implementations: Strategic formation through chess, Python coding techniques and algorithms through programming, learning the structure and model of AI Game.
  • A clear view of how to use the product in real life and proficiency-based learning helps to shape learners’ goals at the end.
  • Full-time and maximum assistance during the course :

+ A series of 3 books which provide training in strategic, algorithm and syntax formation in Python.
+ A comprehensive assessment system that evaluates chess moves and helps improve both bot and human chess strategy.
+ Live visualization of bot-vs-bot match which eases out the
boredom.
+ Tech support through blogs that explain the ideas behind
algorithms and visualizations that serve as references.

o If CỜ GÁNH is a math problem, it will be the one that has no definite answer. There is no limit in terms of algorithms, as we are talking about constant breakthroughs and improvements. Hence, our toolkit helps to awaken the curiosity, creativity and passion in each and every student, hoping that the learners will reach their maximum potential.
